The pictures of Leixlip, Celbridge, Maynooth and the rest of North Kildare across the site come from Wikimedia Commons, the free media library. Each photographer released theirs under a Creative Commons licence or into the public domain, and many were first shared through the Geograph Britain and Ireland project or on Flickr. Each one links to its original page, where you can see the full picture and its licence.
We crop and resize the pictures to fit the page, and our versions are shared under the same licence as the original. The photograph of the week and the rest of our photography collection are credited beside each picture on that page.
